The model of cooperation as a public-private partnership is relatively new in market procedures in Poland. The amendment to the act of 2009 facilitated and brought first PPP procedures. The article is comprised of an analysis and conclusions on the effectiveness of tenders announced so far in various sectors. The first part presents a literature study concerning the definitions of public-private partnership, effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover, a short description of public-private partnership procedures in different areas is mentioned. The second part demonstrates the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of public-private partnerships in general and in selected sectors. In the conclusion, the emerging problem with the effectiveness of public-private partnership procedures is indicated and an attempt is made to identify the probable causes of this state of affairs.
