The story of the Scientific Journals of Poznań University of Technology, O&M series, dates back to 1969; since then, having steadily consolidated its position, it has served as a valuable source of scientific and educational knowledge.
Since the journal’s inception, it has published exclusively peer-reviewed scientific articles, initially in Polish, subsequently in a mixed format, and, from 2024, exclusively in English.

The journal pursues the mission of disseminating and popularising Polish science, Polish culture, technological thought and the Polish language. Our aim is to create a space for presenting the results of scientific research, exchanging experiences and fostering dialogue between the academic community, practitioners and representatives of social and economic life. Our mission is not only to publish research findings, but also to build a lasting bridge between science, practice and society through reliable scientific communication.

We publish peer-reviewed academic articles presenting the results of research conducted both in Poland and abroad, with particular emphasis on the achievements of Polish researchers and the work of domestic research centres. We pay particular attention to the development of management and quality sciences, supporting the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practice in the fields of organisational management, process improvement, building competitive advantage and responsible development. In doing so, we contribute to shaping and disseminating the body of work of the Polish school of management and to strengthening its presence within the national and international academic community.

We support the development of Polish scientific terminology, promote the work of Polish researchers, and contribute to raising the profile of Polish science on the national and international stage.
The high academic standard of the published works is ensured by a double-blind review process, conducted in accordance with current standards of publication ethics. We attach equal importance to the linguistic quality of our publications – before publication, every article is reviewed by a language editor, who ensures the text is correct in terms of language, style and terminology. As a result, the published works meet high academic and editorial standards and contribute to the promotion of correct Polish in academic communication.
With a view to promoting the Polish language and ensuring the accessibility of published content, every article includes a title, abstract and keywords in Polish. This approach facilitates the understanding of research findings by Polish readers, supports the development of native scientific terminology and increases the accessibility of knowledge for the academic community, students, practitioners and all those interested in the advancement of science.

Since 2012, we have been making our publications available under an open access model, thereby increasing the opportunities for researchers, students, representatives of the business community and a wide audience to make use of research findings. We also undertake initiatives aimed at developing and promoting key research areas by publishing thematic issues devoted to current scientific challenges relevant to Poland, as well as commemorative issues dedicated to eminent figures in the fields of management and quality sciences.

We pay particular attention to supporting the development of the younger generation of researchers. We enable young researchers and students to participate in the publication process, gain academic experience and present the results of their own research. In this way, we contribute to shaping the next generation of academics and strengthening research activity.

Our activities also include promoting collaboration between academia and industry. We publish studies presenting best practices in cooperation between the academic and business communities, as well as case studies on technological, organisational and managerial implementations developed in Poland. Particular emphasis is placed on publications demonstrating the practical application of research findings in the management of businesses, public institutions and social organisations. In this way, we support knowledge transfer, the development of innovation and the improvement of management practices within Polish organisations.

We play an active role in promoting science through collaboration with universities, research institutes, scientific organisations and expert communities. The journal’s editorial team is regularly invited to co-organise and provide expert support for scientific conferences held in various regions of Poland. Participation in these events enables the presentation of the latest research findings, fosters integration within the scientific community and promotes collaboration between representatives of different disciplines.

We strive to enhance the visibility of Polish science both at home and abroad by improving the quality of our publications, internationalising our publishing activities, and ensuring the journal is indexed in recognised international databases. These efforts increase the recognition of the published research and enable it to have a wider impact within the national and international scientific communities.

We believe that open scientific communication, a rigorous editorial process, high-quality publications, attention to the Polish language, and active engagement with the academic community contribute to the development of science, culture and innovation. By supporting research in the fields of management and quality sciences and promoting collaboration between academia and business, we are helping to build a modern management model based on knowledge, responsibility and continuous improvement.
