ABSTRACT
The currently observable unfavorable demographic trends have a direct influence on the labor market in an increasing number of developed countries, including Poland. They are related to the aging of the labor force and are a threat to many areas of socio-economic life. Due to rising unemployment, a negative rate of natural increase, and the modern lifestyle, the effects of these changes require government involvement. In response to these problems, a number of programs have been launched over the last few years, aiming at the workplace integration of people aged 50+. The effectiveness of these programs gives people over 50 years old greater labor market freedom. In view of the above, the aim of the article is to present actions that will increase the activity of people aged 50+ in the workplace. These actions are convergent with the policy adopted for senior citizens in Poland.
