ABSTRACT
The necessity to build storage facilities is caused by sales seasonality, safety buffers and consumer behaviour. Those types of buildings have to be adapted to the kinds of goods which will be stored there - for example warehouses for sports equipment have to meet other standards than warehouses for household chemicals. This means that logistics service providers have to raise requirements for developers in relation to the functionality of buildings, they are under pressure from their clients. At the same time the economic situation is causing more companies to want to minimizet the level of stock in order not to freeze their capital
