The aim of the article is to design a risk assessment method based on Grey Decision Making (GDM). Achievement of the indicated goal is conditioned by the use of the method of critical analysis of the literature and the design method. The first chapter presents in a synthetic way the theoretical basis for occupational risk assessment. Next, the essence of the theory of grey systems was approximated, in particular the multicriteria grey decision model of GDM. The next part of the study proposes a logical structure of the procedure and a scheme of the grey method of risk assessment. The last chapter presents an example of the application of a new method of occupational risk assessment on the example of a forklift operator workplace.
