ABSTRACT
The article presents studies of the impact of the shift work system on workers’ health and safety. The research was carried out in selected manufacturing and service companies. The results of these studies are discussed and prophylactic actions are proposed to significantly improve the working conditions of the employees. This article summarizes the author's opinions and confirms the negative impact of the shift work system on both worker health and safety.
