ABSTRACT
People working at landfills are primarily exposed to contact with pathogens through inhalation and through the skin. Among the identified biological agents are commonly bacteria and microscopic fungi. Their colonies develop in the structure of the site, from which they are emitted into the air acting as an extremely serious health hazard. All this poses a serious threat to the safety of life and health of persons employed there. This applies to wastewater treatment plants and landfills, where there are extremely difficult working conditions, subject to chemical, biological and mechanical hazards. Carrying out duties under such conditions requires proper, highly specialized tools and equipment, as well as specialized organization.
