ABSTRACT
In the article, the underexplored topic of the effectiveness of gamification-based activities on employees from generation X and generation Y is examined. The results of the empirical study, which compared the attitude of representatives of these generations towards the utilization of gamification in modern organizations, are presented. A questionnaire used in the current research was supplemented with a case study describing a situation when gamification was used in practice. The obtained results indicate that the generation Y representatives were more firmly convinced that gamification can bring desired results and that its effectiveness is greater in the case of younger employees. Representatives of the analyzed generational groups did not differ in terms of how positive their attitude towards gamification was. The article adds to the current state of knowledge about generations active on the labor market and modern motivating methods.
