ABSTRACT
The dynamic growth of the number of operating science and technology parks in Poland has led to the emergence of increasingly frequent questions about the effectiveness of their operations. This information has become particularly important for investors who are spending more capital both on the stage of development of parks, as well as their subsequent activities. This article aims to analyze the usefulness of the DEA method in the study of relative efficiency of science and technology parks. This method takes into account the measurement of the effectiveness of various policy areas of examined objects responsible for achieving various goals. The article examines the relationships occurring between the realization of these goals by the individual parks. Considerations are supported by a compilation of performance indicators according to established criteria relating to the expenditures and effects describing the researched decision units.
