ABSTRACT
Contemporary world is characterized by progressive demographic changes in the form of increasing proportion of post-working age population and low birth rate. Unfortunately, as the aging process progresses, there is also a growing awareness of aging, expressed by negative attitudes and stereotyped perceptions of the elderly, and the use of discriminatory practices. Such discrimination has negative repercussions on the labor market as well as in society, reducing the senior’s quality of life. For these reasons, the concept of age management is also of importance for implementing adaptive measures to the needs, preferences or capabilities of employees. These actions will allow for a rational and efficient use of the workforce resources. In addition, they provide the opportunity for longer, professional and non-professional activity. Increased participation provides benefits for current and future generations facilitating the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience.
