Exoskeletons are becoming more and more interesting for the industry to support workers in an ergonomic way and further to increase the possibilities in the production system. Today, the most difficult challenge is to constantly detect, construct and evaluate all the effects of an exoskeleton. Ergonomic assessment is in particular one of the main challenges associated with the integration of external skeletons in industry to assess all relevant impacts. The purpose of this report is to present currently available exoskeletons offered for the automotive industry. The article shows what problems and challenges constructors and users have to face and in which direction the development of these products is heading.
